About

I'm Matt Overmann.

I grew up around here — South County, St. Louis. I've been in the trades better than twenty years now. Garage doors first, residential and commercial, for about fourteen of them. Then eight years or so in marble and granite: fabricating it, installing it, setting the cabinets underneath it, tile, flooring. A year with a remodeling outfit doing custom basements and nicer homes.

What that adds up to isn't one skill. It's knowing how a house goes together, and knowing how it comes apart. When something's wrong I usually have a decent idea why before I open the wall, because I've seen it fail before.

I've got kids. I like the work. I especially like the part where somebody's been staring at a problem for a year and I fix it in an afternoon and they're just — relieved. That's a good day.

Overmann All Around is mine. I do the estimate, I do the work, and I'm the one you call if something isn't right. There's no office between us.

How he works

Four Things, Every Job

  • Show up

On the day, at the time. If something changes you hear it from Matt, not from silence.

  • Tell the truth

About what's wrong, what it takes, and what it costs. Including when the answer is "you don't need me for this."

  • Do it correctly

Not the fast way that looks fine for a year. The way that's still right when somebody opens it up later.

  • Leave it better

Floors covered, edges taped, the mess gone. It's your house — he's just working in it.

Why This Business Means More to Me

For a long time, alcohol cost me things I cared about. Relationships. Opportunities. Trust. Time with people I love. More than once, I tried to start over without really changing.

September 13, 2024 became different.

Today, this business isn't only how I earn a living. It's part of the life I'm building — one day, one customer and one job at a time.

Keep Building.

Every day you show up matters. Every promise you keep matters. Every customer you help matters. Every job you finish matters. The life you're building matters.

If You're Struggling

I'm not a counselor. I'm not a doctor. I'm just somebody who has been there.

If you're struggling with drinking or trying to stay sober and you need someone to talk to, reach out. You don't have to hire me. You don't have to explain yourself. Just call.
